I consider four of a kind in video poker, or a straight or a royal flush, as being an event that is more likely to occur in the midst of a larger pattern.

The player has to be using one of the perfect play strategies for video poker, which you probably already know; a sample table is included in the book. The new, second tier strategy the book presents makes using the perfect play strategy much more rewarding. Furthermore, it short circuits the effect casinos are having on your video poker play by lowering the payouts for full houses, flushes, and the like in video poker.
